adding protocols to Firefox

I often visit a news site in Israel and their news video for linux requires that Firefox 
associate a program with the protocol 'mms'.
The website video page is:
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/TV/Linux.aspx

The actual error message from Firefox:
Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (mms) isn't associated with 
any program.

So how do I 'associate' a program (probably mplayer).
