Wi-Fi Problem on Hi-Grade laptop

Thanks to all those who have trying to help me.

Thanks in particular to Derek Broughton who pointed out that I was
using a non-officiat version of Kubuntu which had been "passed down"
to me from a friend who used Antix (the cut down version of
simplyMEPIS) and had formatted the hard disk and installed Kubuntu 8.04
with "a few other packages".  So I apologise.

Its not completely finished, but I'm almost there...
