Yes, and I use Inkscape already, but as Kreetingkard seems to be a
lightweight alternative for simple jobs yet looks as though it has
"arrested development", I simply wondered if the project was still
active.

Linux seems to be short of those basic applications that are less than
full blown DTP applications but with which you can do a wide range of
printing jobs, so it would be a great shame if a project that offered
that and was in the repositories already, had simply faded away.
