installing a remote printer

Tell us something about the remote printer, like what it is attached to.  Is 
it attached to another machine?  If so, is that a windows or Linux or Mac 
machine?  Or is it an IP printer?  If so, do you know the IP of the print 
server?  What steps have you taken in trying to install?
