Hello list!

I updated the kernel of my wifes laptop, kubuntu 8.04 all updates,
with the latest kernel in the update stream.
Kernel linux-image-2.6.24-21, after the update the updater advised to
restart the computer, I did and when it came back
the xserver would not start, complaining about lacking a specific
module.  I opted for the nvidia-glx-new-envy becasue the
old driver corrupts terminials and will not come back after the power
management blanks the screen, forcing a ctrl-alt-bksp
to restart the server.

My question is why doesn't envy update with the kernel.  I seem to be
lost on this one.  Looked at the installed envy packages
and could not find a place to start looking for help, like an envy
home page or list.
