Is it me or does Hardy run like a pig?

No in general I have noticed the whole machine does not perform as
well.  Firefox seem to be the worse.  But other apps such as Amarok,
Liferea, Pidgin, etc.  all seem to have gone down hill.  I don't run
Compiz(the eye candy is a waste) and the T41 has 1.5G of RAM.
