Well Gene, I don't think I will have a lot of luck with that. It has been
over 40 years since I was in high school and I doubt that he would be
capable of hearing my(your) explanation, even if I had a bat. I live in a
country where there is no 'right' to bear arms, so taking a .22 isn't a
very viable option.

Naturally, I did google before posting and saw the various screw patterns
you mention, also saw others that I didn't mention too, for example Torx
because I have only seen them on cap screws but I just wanted to share
with Derek the part about the "Crescent wrench" name deriving from the
tool company which is something I remembered without searching. With the
detail you have provided, this OT thread is becoming a wealth of
information about tools and screws, though, not much about Kubuntu any
longer.
