I tried to import photos from my father's camera with picasa and with digiKam 
but both recognized the camera as another model and then freezed. I 
discovered that this camera is not supported by gphoto2 library that every 
linux program seems to use. In the gphoto page they suggest to write the 
driver (!!) or, if the cam can use the pict bridge sistem, try with it. Then 
i installed gphoto2, selected the pictbridge mode on the camera and gphoto 
sees the files on the camera but doesn't import them!! What should i do?
