I think Gorbachov is correct, because russian 'ov' is pronounced like like 'ov' anyway it's good to know that it has been written with 'ev' too.

Yes exactly - I've heard that may be he was poisoned on purpouse. But these are only speculations. What I know for sure is that he was ready to push the red button and only his dead 'saved the world'.
