When Maximized, data goes beyong edge of screen.

I opened System Settings, Monitor & Display, it said the Graphics card 
is ATI Radeon.  I am not comfortable with that for some reason; is there 
a way to find my Video Card, other than Monitor & Display of System 
Settings?
