Hi Geoffrey,

it can, but you better do it for yourself,
otherwise, at least my experience was, that the installer tends
to install anything entirely to one large disk.

So if you want more control, you need to eventually adjust the
installers' proposal or you create a partition table according to your 
own needs from scratch.
