How to configure printer in Kubuntu 8.10

True, mine broke one of the supports for the small axle on which the 
head goes back and forth. By then I was on about the third recharge of 
the cartridge and even the refilling ink was costing something similar 
to the price of a new printer, so when my homemade fixing operation went 
wrong I just stacked it in the garage on top of the case of the original 
computer I bought it with (which was a 486 with 4 megs ram :D back when 
you could still remember most of the 0s and 1s in your hard drive by 
heart...)
