Incorrect user name popping up in Firefox every time at a specific page.

Dear Everybody

Already for a few years, there is some strange detail which puzzles me in
the behaviour of Firefox - from whichever OS I use it. In order to make you
understand the problem, I attached a screen shot to this message: a
screenshot of the relevant detail of some web mail entry page. On one hand I
DO manage to change the password (in Dutch: "wachtwoord") whenever necessary
and to properly store that changed password for every next working session
at a specific page. On the other hand, I do NOT manage to permanently
change the user name (in Dutch: gebruikersnaam). Whenever I open that
specific web mail entry page, I need to manually correct this username,
because the incorrect username which I typed in by mistake one time, pops up
every time :-).  Does anybody know a trick to solve this little, nasty
problem?
