Kmail configuration problem.

If anyone using AT&T, Yahoo as a DSL internet service provider also uses 
Kmail, could you help me with smtp configuration.  I have decided to use 
Kmail, if I can get it working.  I receive emails without problems, 
however cannot connect to the server when I want to send.  I have been 
using Thunderbird for a couple of years.  I have a screenprint of my 
settings for TBird on the left of the screen and the settings I applied 
and DON'T work for Kmail on the right half of the screen.  The size of 
the screen print is too big for posting, which is limited to 40kb, so if 
you will contact me off post, I will send the screen print, and perhaps 
you can get me running.  Once repaired, I will report the cure on the 
forum and show the post as SOLVED so that others can benefit from the 
instruction. TIA.    Also, On the second page of the configuration for 
Kmail which does not show on the screen print, I have selected SSL,
