How do I import my address book from from Thunderbird to Kmail in Hardy?

Dear Lanzen,

First I have KDE 3.5.10. Hope that doesn't make too much difference.  
Soon I will have KDE 4, because I am building a new computer 64 bit.

I do not know how to export or know what a vcf is, or import or how to 
import in Kmail from vcf.

It must seem like you are trying to help a rock.  Little by little I 
learn, though.

If it isn't too much trouble could you be a little more specific on how 
I do what you just suggested.  Thanks friend,
