KDE4 : ark or something else ?

FWIW, I have kde4/ark opening zip files, but there's other deficiencies as well (can't get the preview function to point to an external app as in kde3-ark). 

Have you tried xarchiver?

Hi all, 

I have upgraded my home computer to the latest kubuntu release with the KDE4 
environment. 
For me (for the applications I use) everything works great 
I use konqueror to web brows, Kate to web dev or to tcl dev, en Firefox to web 
debug. 

The only thing that doesn't works as it was is ARK : no more right click 
integration, not supporting ZIP and RAR. 

I know this is a known limitation, and justs would like to know how people 
that have upgraded to KDE4 deal with this limitation. 

I have read about several solutions : 
- use KDE3 ARK in KDE4 
- use command line functions (that is what I do now) 
- use an other app (which one is the better integrated and supports the format 
I have to deal with).
