Changing from 32 to 64 bit, I need some 64 bit help.

Just keep in mind that most of the application also need to able to address
64 bits. If only the OS is 64 bits, then I believe you are not going to be
able to take the full advantage of the system, in terms of speed.
It's been a while I don't use a 64 bits Linux OS. When I tried in the past
(a long time ago), my impression about the stability of the system was not
that good. I switched back to 32 bits. Besides, unless you are really heavy
user, the performance difference is not noticed that much.
In short: give a try but don't get frustrated if the system does not meet
your expectations. If not comfortable, switch back to 32 bits.
