Is it kbluetooth4 that is broken, or all of the bluez stack?

I read that it is only the kde part of it. I do not need it that much.

I used to connect my mobile phone as a hid remote to control Kaffeine by
issuing a command

sudo hidd --connect 00:1E:45:49:D4:05

and now it no longer works, the binary hidd is not even installed. To
get it I have to install a compatibility with bluez 3.x stack package
bluez-compat, but it still does not work.

It gives an error
HID create error 77 (File descriptor in bad state)

the same is true of the pand binary; I used to run

pand --master --listen --role NAP --devup /etc/bluetooth/pan/dev-up

to start an access point in my laptop for the mobile phone (or another
computer) to connect to, but now it does not work. pand is in
bluez-compat package...

The configuration files and options for bluetooth have changed
dramatically - just see the /etc/bluetooth directory contents.

I was wondering if there are any easy howto's for the new bluetooth
configuration and CLI interface....
