Why do people dislike Dolphin?

I really like it now, and I use it in preference to Konqueror almost
all the time.

However, when I first came accross it I was really thrown! I had
gotten used to Konqueror and could do all my stuff with it. Although -
I did often get a sneaking suspicion it was a bit big for my everyday
needs. Interestingly, I used it in a format looking a bit like my
previous Windows Explorer.........

Not so with Dolphin though. I am now a fluent user, single view and
split view. I even found the Open as Root in the right hand sidebar.
Very useful..... I usually set the Right hand side bar to not-seen by
the way.

Dolphin was not 'sold' to me with any explanation at all. It was just
  - it felt like - dumped in front of me. That was very disturbing.
But I did decide to keep an open mind, and I am glad that I did too.
