Looking at the output Kaffein/xine think /dev/sdb5 is your DVD so it
must be some settings messing with you.
We must know what devices you, can you give us the output of this command?
ls -l /dev/s[cdr]*
ls -l /dev/{dvd*,cd*}
And just to be sure try to remove the xine configuration files, this
should be theme.

~/kde/share/config/kaffeinerc
~/.xine
