Adobe Flash 9 download?

I installed it and it didn't do anything, nor did it show up in
"addons". So, I used good ole Midnight Commander (mc) and checked out
the file. It had one binary in a directory off of /usr/lib/ and a doc
file. I wonder just how you get that one file
into .mozilla/firefox/plugins?? ..or for firefox to use it? Every time I
installed it and fired FF back up, no dice. Ric
