Firefox and Thunderbirddo not work after update to KDE 8.10

One very useful troubleshooting approach is to start the program from a
console.

In the K menu, Applications, Utilities, Terminal Emulator.

Then simply type "firefox".

There will probably be error messages displayed that will help.
