I am also interested if you could provide some personal data like age, location, level of education, what do you do for living. You are not required to give any details, but this would help us spread the word about Kubuntu.

Ray, i understand where your frustration comes from. i've been a windows
user for 10+ years, and only moved to Linux a bit more than a year ago.
when it comes to free open source programs, you need to remember that
Google has always, and will always, be your friend. almost every simple
question you might have about a certain software is already answered
somewhere, and google will show it. as soon as things start getting
complicated, more complex stuff, weird configurations and the like, this
mailing list will be of much help. are you familiar with IRC? press
alt+f2 , and type without the quotations "konversation" , this will open
and IRC client that is configured by default to connect to the kubuntu
support channel, people there might as well, be of much help in simple
quick configurations.
i noticed in your other email, you're asking about host server? this
information is provided by the email provider usually. almost all email
providers have some support website that you can search in for POP
access, and it will tell you how to configure your email client to
connect to their servers. this is an example page from gmail
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287
other providers will provide different instructions, but this is in
general how configurations look like.
hope this helps you
cheers
