OT: Kmail, POP3, list, thread and Gmail

That's what I have. Actually - one of the reasons I love KMail - I even have a 
dedicated identity out of two, on this address, that sets language, signature 
and templates as well. The SMTP I send from to this list is 
smtpmail.libero.it and not smtp.gmail.com.

But it all depends on the conditions your isp is offering you: if a mail 
address is included, then you should be able to use their SMTP.

You could even have your own SMTP on your machine if you set it up.

INAE, but what is happening is basically you're telling your SMTP to send your 
mail to this list and Gmail has nothing to do, so far. The problem might be 
that you at gmail.com looks to be the sender and not you at your_isp. So either 
your SMTP connection is open or you need to authenticate yourself.

When the mail reaches GMail, no sent copy is found and the message is 
forwarded to you. If you did send it through GMail's SMTP a sent copy would 
be found and the one from this list would just... vanish!
