Kubuntu 6.06 to 8.04 upgrade via network

I chose to follow this method using konsole 
and "do-release-upgrade -d" 

as I have a hybrid installation with my wife a user with Gnome and 
myself with KDE but it all failed, I think getting the Gnome bits.

here is a section where it failed
