What is happening is that GMail is not forwarding you _your_ sent mails.
Everybody else sees them.

I had a similar situation. You said you closed your previous account, do you
have another one - not GMail - you can use? More about it later.

It's been discussed already and it seems everybody has it's own (working?)
solution. As you can see from the headers I *use* GMail to reach this list
and get my mail with KMail.
What I do - works.
When sending to the list I've set up Kmail to use another SMTP. It can be your
provider's, and in this case it might not require authentication, or any
other SMTP, authenticated, but NOT GMail's.
Solution n. 2 is using Knode (or similar Newsgroup agent),

It would if either:
you don't have another usable SMTP
you prefer IMAP vs POP

I've set up GMail, on their site, for IMAP.
Get mails in Kmail through POP
When on a different machine use IMAP (e.g. in Thunderbird).

Agreed! ;)
