ALSA error during boot

Pulseaudio is not installed on my box.. I run Kubuntu HArdy/8.03 with KDE3
Have it here since 2 months or so, works like a charm..
Just this fairly annoying error popped up out of nowhere, I didn't
change hardware or anything, and it happens when I test-booted an older
kernel too..

anyone any idea where it is coming from? or how to solve it? Google
didn't help me here at all..

anyone?

Cheers
Linda
