this happens a lot in kde3 too, and i never figured out what to do to make
them in 2 lines when it happens

do you mean the titlebar? back in gutsy, i had compiz with emerald, and at
some point all title bars just disappear, all these problems made remove
compiz even before upgrading to hardy, and before i start seeing some
serious compliments being made to compiz, i'm not installing it!
