	Dear all,

        When trying to install the Intel Fortran Compiler v. 10.1.008 on a
fresh Kubuntu Hardy installation, I get the following error:

        --- ERROR ---
Problem encountered executing CHKLIC_32_64 utility /home/urtzi/downloads/Intel
Fortran Compiler/l_fc_p_10.1.008/data/chklic.32
This could be caused by a missing library.
The CHKLIC_32_64 program chklic.32 requires these libraries:
        linux-gate.so.1 =>
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0
        libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libm.so.6
        libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1
        libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
        libdl.so.2 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2
Please ensure that these libraries are installed on your system.

Exiting installation program.
Please correct the missing library problem
and run the installation program again at a later time.
-------------------------------------------------------

        It turns out that the missing linux-gate.so.1 and ld-linux.so.2 are
not actual library files one can install, but virtual libraries provided by
2.6 kernels.

        How can I tell the IFC installer where to find these libraries and
carry out the installation? I need the Intel compiler at work, so solving
this problem is critical for me.

        Thank you all in advance,

        GL
