booting issues in hardy beta after install

i have tried installing with both alt and original cd's that i have. my
problem is this on the original install cd installing from desktop or
installing without loading the desktop the installer hangs when trying to
load the partition manager. on the other hand with the alternate cd it
installs fine for me. my problem is after installation i boot like normal
but the normal way but the thing is that during boot it hangs on loading
hardware devices. is it that my hardware might be 2 new for hardy?
