Q: copying all the kontact info from one machine to another

Hey!
~/.kde/env/ subfolders is for settings and not store data.
The folder you looking for i think (unchecked) is
~/.kde/share/apps/kaddressbook.
But what you realy want is a way to sync your data between these machines.
If you using IMAP you can store your resources online on the IMAP
server, look at this

If you have gmail you can sync you contacts and calendar with Gcaldaemon
