WICD and KNetworkManager

It will?  I had to force it...

I just removed it and reinstalled network-manager.  The thing that had been
increasingly annoying me about network-manager is that it only occasionally
ever attempted to automatically connect to a (previously known) wireless
network when it became available.  Since I live off-grid, and my power goes
out at least once a week - much more at this time of year - my wireless
network can often disappear for a while.

Well, wicd never tried to reconnect to my _wired_ network when I brought the
laptop back into the office, where wicd had already been configured and
used.  That's just not worth the trouble.
