Different sites report different lengths, many say: between 4 and 6 (one 
averages at 5 :) ).

Have you seen those pasting there the disclaimer: this email is only for 
the intended recipient blah blah... THAT is really annoying, it's not 
only long, it's meaningless, especially on mailing lists...
