on my system, i usually get the weird charecters as squares in
konqueror, whereas arabic names are displayed as question letters! a
folder full of arabic names is basically a folder full of question
marks, very annoying, but thankfully, this only happens if some friend
inserted his/her cd, otherwise, i never use non-english names.
