Kernel problem.

Hi all,

When I select the 2.6.24-18 kernel in GRUB, then I get this message:

Error 17: Cannot mount selected partition

Press any key to continue.....

So I press a key and it brings me back to GRUB.
I can only use the 2.6.24-16 kernel to boot the system.

Can someone please help me to use the new kernel ?

My system:

Processor: AMD64 3000+
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9250
Hard disk: Maxtor 80 GB.
