VMware Workstation6 slow as heck on kubuntu 7.04 - addendum

Before someone asks: Kubuntu/VMware behaved the same when I still used the 
stock 2.6.20 kernel on Feisty.
The 2.6.22 was backported "for real", make-kpkg and all.
