I think that it first appeared in Super Karamba. At least, the SK,
Vista, and KDE4 clocks all look _very_ similar.

Until someone finds a line of GPL code in Vista. Then they will have
to legally open source the whole thing, like Linksys did. I'm waiting
for that, the end of supposed security through obscurity.
