OpenOffice 3.0 - currently broken

I don't think so... there is still something strange - at least under
Kubuntu. I did follow the steps and OpenOffice is working again -
partially. Now the remaining issue I have is PDF export. Neither the
quick export from the toolbar nor the one from the file menu is working
anymore. OpenOffice just freezes once I select the PDF export feature.
Anybody else having this issue? Any suggestion how to possibly fix that?
