Cannot use Compiz

Same here. I ran gnome+compiz on intrepid on 512MB PC3200 RAM with an 
old ATI 9200 (128MB) and it was lightning fast.
Kwin in KDE4 not that snappy, but still ok.
Compiz (when I still used it) always gave me troubles on much faster 
hardware most likely due to video driver issues.
