And here is another tidbit you may find useful.
ALL of my various browsers have a 'plugins' directory that is actually a
softlink to a directory named, obviously, plugins in the /usr/lib path where
all the browsers seem to install themselves. I put ALL the plugins in that
directory and blow away any plugins directories created in the browsers tree,
replacing it with the softlink. That way I can update a browser with a new
version, and have all the plugins available even before I run it the first
time. Works like a champ so far. Knock on wood.
