Hi Steven,

when looking there, you better know the name.

So Synaptic might be better suited for your needs, since it allows you 
to graphically search for things.

KPatience is in a package called "kpat":
sudo aptitude install kpat

If you do not have synaptic:
sudo aptitude install synaptic
