kernel 2.6.22-14 really avoids upgrade to 8.04 entanglements

Hi,

Since I used this to eliminate the locale upgrade problem in two of my 
machines, I have been able to upgrade Kubuntu smoothly in my notebook and 
two more desktops. Without any hacking at all.

Just to let you know.
