Server v. desktop

Thanks to all for the quick run-up on the differences. This server is 
already faster than the Windows boxes it is serving files to (which, at 
the end of the day, isn't all that difficult to do), but the load is so 
small (4-5 Windows boxes, most of which don't run simultaneously) that I 
won't monkey with it. Ain't broke, etc., but I am grateful to have some 
idea of the difference.
