Screen goes blank loading X after upgrading memory

That's just about 1GB so it seems even kubuntu is recognizing all the memory.

Never hurts to check several hundred and one times. ;-)
Well It looks like hardware failure can be ruled out. I haven't a clue why
Kubuntu is acting this way. I'm actually baffled here myself now.
