Double mounting?

I stopped by one of the churches whose computers I maintain and noticed 
that the USB external drive that houses the backup files (I use 
rsnapshot) is not only mounted at /var/cache/rsnapshot, but also appears 
on /media/usb

I'm not real sure how that happened, but since no one but me can see 
that (the Linux box is headless, and I'm the only one who knows how to 
reach it), is there any harm in the double mounting?
