Vivitar viviCAM 3710

well i seem to be having a bit of trouble connecting
my wife's viviCAM 3710 (bought previous to
transferring to kubuntu). I tried gtkam, digiKam, and
installed all the libraries that I could find to no
avail in addition to checking every link that google
pulled up for me. anyone have any other ideas?
