Gutsy - No splash screen

Hi,

I've installed a clean Gusty system.
Most of it seems to work out of the box...

But if have the following problem;
While booting i don't see anything from right after grub until just before the 
kde-login screen.
No splash screen, no nothing... only a black screen.

Any suggestions?
