I feel the same about Lexmark printers.  I published some howto instructions 
about one of those once, and I still get the odd "can you help me" message.

Abandon all hope.  I will mail you a sledge hammer if you promise to send me 
pictures of the printer after you have destroyed it.  I can't help you.
