how to move ntfs partition?

OK, I might be getting confused here but it seems to me ...

1.  [swap] [free] [ntfs]
move ntfs 
2.  [swap] [ntfs] [free]

where [free] is a blank partition.

Then you stretch or shrink [ntfs] as necessary.  Shrink it after
defragging and everything is in the front of the partition within the
limits you want to shrink it to.
