Video devices

Hello Users,

I am running kbuntuStudio 7.04. It seems to create video devices in
/dev/.static/dev.

When I attempt to run an application such as xawtv -c /dev/.static/dev/video0
it tells me no such divice ie.

xawtv -c /dev/.static/dev/video1
This is xawtv-3.95.dfsg.1, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.20-15-lowlatency)
can't open /dev/.static/dev/video1: No such device
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
v4l2: open /dev/.static/dev/video1: No such device
v4l2: open /dev/.static/dev/video1: No such device
v4l: open /dev/.static/dev/video1: No such device
no video grabber device available

Any ideas for me out there?
